M/S. Artson Engineering Limited Mumbai

Our office is tucked away in Dombivali West, inside the Vaibhav Co-Operative Housing Society. We’re at number 103, and you can find us pretty easily because we’re near Kidland High School on Kopar Cross Road. During the day, you can often hear the kids playing or the school bells ringing, which gives the place a lively feel. It’s a bit of a trek from central Mumbai, but Dombivali has its own rhythm that we’ve come to appreciate. The office is basically a flat that’s been converted into a work area. It’s not very big, so we’re all sitting fairly close to each other, which makes it easy to talk about whatever engineering project we’re currently handling. We don't have a big fancy sign outside or a glass-fronted entrance. It’s just a regular door in a regular building. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of files related to various sites and projects. We spend our time looking at drawings and making sure the engineering side of things is handled properly. It’s not always glamorous work, and sometimes we’re just stuck doing data entry or sorting out invoices for hours. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do; we just take the projects as they come and try to get through them one by one. It’s a simple, local way of working that suits us just fine.
