Pune Travel Agent & Tour Operator Classic Travel Services has its office at No. 310 in Metro House. We are right opposite the TMTC building on Mangaldas Road. It is a central part of Pune, so there is always a lot of movement outside our windows. The office is where we handle all the bookings for cars, flights, and holiday trips. It is a small space packed with brochures and maps, though most things are done on the screens these days. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers or checking hotel availability. Being on Mangaldas Road means we are close to the heart of the city, which is handy for clients who want to drop in and talk about their travel plans in person. It is not a very quiet office because someone is always calling about a late train or a flight change. We just try to keep things organized so people can get where they need to go without too much trouble. Sometimes the internet is slow or the phone lines act up, but we manage to get the tickets issued eventually. Most of our day is just balancing different itineraries and trying to find the right routes. It is a busy life, but it is interesting to see where everyone is heading. We are at shop number ten on Manicha Pada Road, which is in the Vasai Phata area of Vasai East. A good way to find us is to look for the Hanuman Temple right beside the compound. The workshop is usually a bit hot, especially in the middle of the afternoon when the sun hits the metal roof. We do a lot of technical work here, mostly involving welding and fixing mechanical parts that people bring in. The compound is always full of activity with other small businesses around us. It is a gritty, practical place where work boots and greasy hands are the norm. We don't have much in the way of a waiting room; people usually just stand by the door and watch us work on their machines. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and prayers during the day, which is a nice break from the sound of grinding metal. The road outside can be a bit rough after the rains, but we are used to it. We take on whatever engineering repairs come through the gate. It is just about getting the parts fixed and back to the owners so they can get their own work done. We stay until the jobs for the day are finished, often working by the light of a few bulbs late into the evening.
