Our workshop is in the Godavari Laxmi Industrial Estate on the first Pokhran Road in Vartak Nagar. We are in unit 109. It’s an industrial estate, so there is always the sound of machines and welding going on nearby. We do engineering work, mostly making small parts or repairing components for bigger machines. Our space is filled with metal shavings, oil smells, and heavy workbenches. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We usually have our sleeves rolled up and our hands a bit dirty from the day's work. We take on jobs that require a bit of precision but we don't act like we're doing anything miraculous. It’s just solid engineering and knowing how to handle the lathes and drills. People from other factories nearby often drop in when they have a part that’s snapped or needs a bit of adjustment. We’ve been here in Thane for quite some time, and the industrial estate is like a little community of its own. We know the guys in the units next to us. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we can do with a piece of steel. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us going from morning till evening. It gets loud and busy, but that's how we know we have plenty of work to do.
