M.K.Steel

If you are driving along the Mumbai-Pune Road near Shilphata, you will find M.K.Steel at Shop No 3/A in the Khan Compound. We have been set up here for quite a while now, dealing with all sorts of steel products that people might need for building or repairs. The compound is always full of activity, especially with the heavy traffic moving between the two big cities. It gets pretty loud with all the horns and engines, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We have a small shop floor where we keep the most common items, and then some more storage in the back for the heavier stuff. It is just a few of us working here, mostly family and a couple of guys from the neighborhood who help with the loading. We don't really do any big promotions or anything like that. People usually just see our sign from the road and pull over when they need something. We try to keep our prices fair and our measurements honest, which is why people keep coming back to us. Dealing with steel is heavy, dirty work, and by the end of the day, we are usually covered in grit and grease. But there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a truck drive away fully loaded with the materials someone needs to finish their house or shop. We just take it one day at a time and keep the shop open for whoever drops by.
