Metal Arts

Down at 18, Old Modella Ind. Estate, you’ll find our workshop. It’s located in Padwal Nagar, right in the middle of the Wagle Ind. Estate. The name on the door says Metal Arts, but it’s more of a noisy, hardworking shop than a quiet studio. We do a lot of metal work here. There is always the smell of welding and the sound of grinders running. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so many sheets of metal and finished pieces stacked up. Wagle Estate is a busy place, and our corner in Padwal Nagar is no different. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. The building is old, and the walls have seen a lot of soot and sparks over the years. We don’t really do any formal meetings; usually, we just talk over the noise of the machines. If someone wants to see what we are making, they just come by the estate. It's not a place for fancy clothes because you’ll probably get some iron filings on you. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their role. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything. We just take the metal, cut it, shape it, and finish it. Some days the heat from the torches is a lot, but we get through it. Metal Arts is just us working with our hands every day. We focus on the physical side of the job and leave the complicated talk to other people. It's what we know how to do.
