Mec Engineers

Mec Engineers is located in units 7 and 8 of the Vardhaman Industrial Estate in Gawaripada. If you’re in Vasai East, you probably know the area. It’s full of small workshops and factories just like ours. We do a lot of engineering work and fabrication. My father started the shop, and I took over after I finished my studies. It’s a lot of metal, welding, and grease. Our clothes are rarely clean by the end of the shift. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the neighborhood who know what we can do. We have a few old machines that still work perfectly and some newer ones we’re still getting used to. The shop floor is cramped because we have so much material stored everywhere. We have to navigate around stacks of steel pipes and sheets. It’s a bit like a puzzle sometimes. We take our work seriously, even if the place looks a bit rough. If a customer brings a drawing, we figure out how to make it. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it exactly right. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do the welding. It’s a loud, busy life here in Gawaripada, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and finish the jobs that come our way each morning. No complications, just metalwork.
