Mayur- The Art Gallery

Mayur- The Art Gallery is located at Shop No. 5 in Vishram Apartments. We are right opposite the Three Petrol Pump on Agra Road. It’s on the L. B. S Marg side of Thane West. The location is pretty easy to find because of the petrol pumps across the street. Inside the gallery, it’s mostly quiet compared to the noise of Agra Road. We have frames and pieces of art leaning against the walls. Some are finished and some are just waiting for a frame. The floor is made of old tiles and there’s a spot near the door that always squeaks when you step on it. I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass on the frames because fingerprints show up so easily. It’s a small gallery, not like the big ones you see in the city center. We don’t have fancy lighting systems, just some regular bulbs that we aim at the walls. Sometimes I sit at the back and work on small things while I wait for someone to walk in. Thane has a lot of traffic, so I see plenty of people stuck in their cars through the window. It’s a peaceful place to be despite the busy road outside. We aren't doing anything world-changing here, just keeping the gallery open and looking after the art we have. It’s a nice way to spend the day and talk to people who like art.
