Working out of Shanti Nagar on Mira Road East has its own rhythm. Our office for Max New York Life is actually in Flat 502 of Building 31, right in Sector 1. It’s more of a residential-style setup, which makes it feel a lot less like a cold office and more like a part of the Thane community. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, seeing the neighborhood grow around us. Dealing with insurance stuff can be dry, but being in a flat means we can actually sit down and talk to people properly. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow some days, so we often just wait and chat with the neighbors. Maharashtra 401107 is a big area, but this little corner of ours stays pretty steady. We handle the claims and the premium updates right from this desk. It’s not a huge team, just a few of us making sure the paperwork for the local residents stays in order. Sometimes the monsoon makes it hard for people to visit, so we spend a lot of time on the phone. We don't have big signs or anything, just a simple place where the work happens. Usually, people find us because they live in the same block or nearby. We keep the files in the cupboards, and there’s always a stack of new forms waiting to be filled out. It's a quiet way to spend the day.
