Mavji

Our little spot, Mavji, is over in Kandivali East, specifically tucked into the Gokul Monarch building within Thakur Complex. If you have ever tried to navigate H G Road during rush hour, you know it takes a bit of patience to get here. We are at number 1, right near the Gamdevi area. The complex itself is always buzzing with people doing their shopping or just hanging out at the local stalls. It’s a solid, older building, nothing like those new glass structures they are putting up near the highway. We’ve been here for a bit, and the walls have a few scuffs that we never quite got around to painting over. The morning sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually keep the blinds halfway down until it gets a bit cooler in the afternoon. People from the nearby towers often drop by just to say hello or ask about something while they are out walking their dogs. It’s a nice neighborhood vibe, even if the parking is a total nightmare most of the time. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us handling things day to day, making sure the place stays open and functional for whoever walks through the door. It isn't always quiet, but it is home for us during the work week and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.
