Lotus Baby Clinic

People usually find Lotus Baby Clinic because they live right here in Anand Nagar. It is a busy little spot, especially on Monday mornings when everyone seems to have a cold or needs a checkup. The office is not very big, but we have enough room for the strollers to get parked near the entrance. You can usually hear a baby crying or a toddler running around from the moment we open the doors. It is just part of the day for us. We have got some toys in the corner to keep the older kids busy, though they mostly end up on the floor by noon. The walls have some old posters on them and the scale we use for the infants is sitting right in the middle of the main room. Anand Nagar is a nice area, quite friendly, and we have gotten to know most of the families over the years. We see the same faces coming back as the kids grow up. There is nothing corporate about this place. It is just a doctor and a couple of us helping out with the paperwork and the weighing. Sometimes we get behind on the schedule because a baby won't stop crying or a parent has a lot of questions, but that is just how it goes with kids. We stay until the work is done. It is a loud place, but it is a good way to spend the day.
