We have our setup over at Shivam Apartment in Kandivali East. It is right on Chakravarty Ashok Road, which stays pretty crowded most of the time. Being in an apartment building for an engineering firm might seem a bit different, but it works for us. We are Lekhpal Engineering and we mostly focus on technical projects and parts. It is a lot of looking at blueprints and making sure the numbers add up. The office isn't anything fancy, just some desks, computers, and a lot of files piled up. Sometimes it gets a little noisy with the street traffic down below, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We are just a small team of engineers and staff trying to stay on top of our deadlines. We don't go for the polished corporate look because that is not really who we are. We'd rather just talk about the work itself. Engineering can be a bit dry for some people, but it keeps us busy. We take our tea breaks together when things slow down for a minute. It is an honest living. We’ve been in this part of Mumbai for some time now and know the neighborhood well. People around here are hardworking, and we try to match that energy. It’s just about getting the drawings right and making sure the machines or parts we work on actually function like they are supposed to in the real world.
