We are based out of Thana in the Amgaon area, right here in Gondia district. It’s a quiet place, mostly farms and small houses. Krushishyam Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us nearby farmers felt we needed to pull our resources together. Shri Bhayalal Paikan was kind enough to let us use his place as a base. In Arjuni Morgaon, we spend most of our time out in the fields, so this company is really just an extension of that work. We don't have any professional writers or marketing people here. It's just us, dealing with the harvest and trying to find better ways to sell what we grow. The weather in Maharashtra can be unpredictable, so having a group helps when things get difficult. We talk about seeds, fertilizers, and who has a tractor we can borrow. It's basic stuff. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make sure the work we do in Thana actually pays off for our families. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, and we spend more time arguing about the crops than looking at the books, but that’s how it goes in a small village. We’re just regular people trying to keep the farming tradition going without losing money every year. It isn't always smooth, and we often have to help each other out with chores, but we're doing our best here with what we have.
