Mukand Ltd.

Our place is right there on the Thane-Belapur Road, specifically in the Dighe Kalwe area. If you’ve ever driven down that way, you know how hectic it gets. Mukand Ltd. has been at this location for a long time. It’s a big site, and there’s always something going on. We deal with a lot of heavy materials and industrial processes, so the yard is always full of activity. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a nice suit. Most of us are in work clothes because things get dirty pretty fast. The noise from the traffic outside blends in with the sounds of the machinery inside. We have a cafeteria where we all grab tea and snacks during the breaks. It’s a good time to catch up on what’s happening in everyone's lives. The office building is a bit older, with heavy desks and lots of filing cabinets. We aren't very big on using new gadgets for everything; we still like our paper records for most things. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult because the yard gets muddy, but we manage to keep things moving regardless. It’s a lot of coordination between the different departments. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. People know we are here because of the size of the place. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the shifts run on time without any major issues. It is just steady work.
