Kalpana Steel Works

You’ll find us on Old Bunder Road. We are pretty close to the Krishana Weigh Bridge, which is a major landmark for all the trucks around here. Kalpana Steel Works is exactly what the name suggests. We work with steel. The shop is right on the road, so we get a lot of dust from the passing vehicles. It’s an old part of the area, and it feels like it. There’s a lot of history on this road. Our place is full of heavy machines and scrap metal. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We are usually covered in grime or metal shavings. That is just how it goes when you are making things. The weigh bridge nearby is always busy, so there is a constant stream of traffic. We’ve been here for a long time. We don't have a fancy office or a marketing person. It’s just us and the tools. Some days are long and the work is hard on the back, but we keep at it. People know us because we’ve been on Old Bunder Road for so long. We don't make big promises. We just look at the job and see if we can weld it or cut it or bend it. It’s a simple way to spend a day. We like the sound of the metal and the feeling of getting a job done. It’s not fancy, but it is what it is.
