Join Sweets

We are located in Kandivali East over at Nava Vadej 5. Join Sweets is a busy little place, especially in the mornings when we first open. We start early, way before the sun is up, to get all the batches ready for the day. The smell of frying and sugar syrup is everywhere in the shop. It’s a small space, so you can see everything we are doing from the street outside. We don't use any fancy machines, just big metal pots and long wooden spoons. My father started this business, and now we just keep it going the same way he did. The counter is always a bit sticky no matter how many times I wipe it down during the shift. We get a lot of people from the nearby houses in Kandivali East who need a box of something for a visitor or a family party. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are at Nava Vadej 5. The tiles on the floor are a bit cracked in the corner, and the ceiling fan wobbles a little when it’s on the highest setting. It’s just a normal shop. We don't try to make it look like something out of a magazine. Some days we sell out of everything by four in the afternoon, and other days we have stuff left over. That’s just the way it goes with food. We just do our best.
