Our spot is in City Vasai, over in the Thane district of Maharashtra. It’s a busy place, especially with people always on the move between here and Mumbai. The office at 401208 is usually humming with activity from the moment we open the doors. We get a lot of commuters who drop in early or right before they head home. The space is pretty standard. We’ve got the counters for transactions and a few desks tucked in the back for the more detailed work. During the monsoon, the place gets a bit damp and we’re always cleaning up footprints from the rain, but that’s just life in this part of India. We spend our days processing checks, helping people with their transfers, and dealing with the occasional technical glitch that slows everything down. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment, just a place where people come to get their financial stuff sorted. We have our regulars who come in every week, and we usually know what they need before they even ask. It’s a lot of manual work mixed with computer tasks. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles here. It’s just a solid, reliable office where we do our best to keep things moving. By the time the sun goes down, we’re usually ready to head home ourselves, just like everyone else in the Vasai area.
