H.B.Steel Traders

You can find H.B.Steel Traders tucked away at 17, Liberty Compd., right near the Oshiwara Bridge. It’s a gritty sort of place, which is pretty much what you’d expect for a steel trading business. The compound is always full of activity, with trucks backing in and out and the sound of metal clanging against metal. We’ve got our slice of the space here, and it’s usually piled high with various types of steel. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes, as there’s always a bit of rust or grease around. We spend most of our hours tracking orders and making sure the right loads are going to the right people. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around to get to the stock at the back. We don’t use any fancy systems, just a lot of common sense and knowing our inventory by heart. The guys here have been doing this for years, so they know exactly what’s what. When the weather gets bad, the compound can get a bit muddy, but the work doesn’t stop. We just pull the shutters down a bit and keep going. It’s a simple, straightforward way to earn a living.
