Halcrow

Our office for Halcrow is actually tucked away in the Ritupark area of Vrindavan, over in Thane. We are set up at A2/303, and it’s a bit of a residential feel since we are basically in a housing complex. We share the space with Rajiv G Naik, which works out fine for the kind of stuff we do. Most mornings, you can see the neighbors heading out for work while we are just getting the computers started. It is a lot quieter than being in the middle of Mumbai, which everyone here appreciates. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that. You just come up the stairs and we are right there. The space is a bit small, especially when we have all the files out on the tables, but it gets the job done. We usually grab lunch from the local spots nearby or bring stuff from home. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit moody, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. Working from a place like this keeps things grounded. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big corporate look. We just handle the consulting work and the meetings that come up. It's a practical way to run things without all the extra stress of a huge office building. The commute is manageable for most of us, and that is what matters.
