Exclusive Bengali Saree

We operate out of Apollo A1003, which is inside the Apollo Hiranandani Estate. It is a large residential and commercial complex, so the security at the front gate can be a bit strict about who they let in. Most of our time at Exclusive Bengali Saree is spent surrounded by piles of fabric. There are sarees draped over chairs and stacked in boxes everywhere you look. We spend the early hours of the day unpacking new shipments and the rest of the time checking the embroidery and the quality of the cloth. Being up on a high floor gives us a bit of a view, but our eyes are mostly on the colors of the silk. Our setup is not like a typical shop where people just wander in off the street. It is more of a quiet, focused workspace. We usually have the air conditioner running all day to keep the fabric in the best possible condition. There are only a few of us working here, and we know the different weaves and patterns by heart now. We usually sit together for lunch and look over the inventory lists while we eat. It is not a very fast-paced environment, but there is always a saree to be folded or a package to be prepared. It involves a lot of manual handling, even if the final product looks very delicate.
