Essence The Art School

Essence The Art School is set up in the Raghunath Niwas Bungalow in Waghbil, Thane West. It’s a quiet spot compared to the busier parts of Thane. We use a few of the rooms in the bungalow for our art classes. It has a bit of an old-fashioned feel to it, which is nice for painting and drawing. We have people coming in throughout the week, mostly in the afternoons and evenings. We have all sorts of supplies lying around, like brushes, jars of water, and stacks of paper. It’s not a professional art studio with high-end lighting, but it works for what we do. We mostly just show people how to use the different materials and let them work on their own projects. There are no corporate rules here; it’s very laid back. Sometimes we just sit and talk while we work. The floors usually have some pencil shavings or paint spots on them by the end of the day. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who manage the place and handle the registrations. Most of our students are kids from the nearby towers who come after school. We don't do any big promotions. We just have a small sign and people find us through word of mouth. It’s a simple, local art space where anyone can come and spend a few hours being creative without any pressure.
