You’ll find us on the second floor of the New Navrang Co-Op Housing Society in Thane. The address is number 9, and we are right near the Majiwada Municipal Office. If you know Majiwada, you know the traffic at the junction can be a total nightmare during the morning and evening rush. We usually look out the window and see the cars crawling along. Being in a housing society means it’s a bit more peaceful once you get inside the building compared to the street outside. We use the space for Essar Steel Limited to manage our local operations. It’s an old building, so it has those thick walls and a bit of a lived-in feel. We’ve got our filing cabinets, some old chairs, and our computers set up. It’s not one of those modern glass offices in the new business parks. We prefer it here because it’s central and everyone knows the landmark of the municipal office. We spend most of the day coordinating things and making sure the numbers add up. Lunch is usually a quick affair, sometimes from one of the small places nearby or just something we brought from home. We don’t have a big HR department or fancy coffee machines. It’s just us doing the work. The fans hum all day, and we keep the windows closed to keep out the dust from the main road. It’s a steady place to work.
