Our office is in the Metropolitean building, at Plot No A/140 on Road No 23 in the Wagle Industrial Estate in Thane West. Wagle Estate is a busy place with a lot of different companies squeezed together, and finding a parking spot can be a real struggle most mornings. Inside, we focus on the engineering and consulting side of things for labs and pharma plants. It’s a lot of time spent looking at computer screens, CAD drawings, and thick binders full of regulations. We have a lot of meetings where we sit around and talk about pipe layouts or how to fit a lab into a small space. It’s not as messy as a factory floor, but it’s just as much work. The office has that typical smell of air conditioning and old paper. We get a lot of people coming in for consultations, so there’s always a pot of tea or coffee being shared. Outside on Road 23, you can hear the constant noise of Thane traffic, which is a bit of a contrast to the quiet focus inside the office. Most of the staff here are engineers who really like their coffee and their spreadsheets. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just a few project schedules and maybe a map of the local area. It is a straightforward engineering firm where the main goal is to get the drawings right and the projects finished.
