Ekta Fabrication

Our shop is at Office No. A-45, up on the second floor of Lake City Mall at Kapurbavdi Junction. It’s a bit unusual for a fabrication business to be in a mall, but the location at Majiwade in Thane West is actually quite handy. We do a lot of metalwork and custom jobs. People come in with sketches on napkins, and we try to turn them into something solid. The office part is where we do the planning and the billing, and it usually has a thin layer of metallic dust on everything, no matter how much we clean. The mall is always busy, especially on weekends, but since we are on the second floor, it stays a bit calmer during our work hours. We can hear the shoppers and the music from the main atrium sometimes. It’s a weird mix of industrial work and a retail environment. Our team is small, mostly guys who have been doing this for decades. We don’t wear suits; we usually have grease on our hands and pencils behind our ears. We’ve got a couple of heavy workbenches and a lot of scrap pieces tucked into the corners. If you’re looking for us, just head past the main shops and look for the door with the metal frame. We’re usually there from early morning until late evening. It’s a noisy, busy, and sometimes messy job, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
