Dhananjaya Engineers & Contractors

Our office is out in M.I.D.C. Phase-II in Dombivli East, at plot W/94. This part of the industrial estate is always humming with some kind of activity. We are contractors, so we spend half our time here and the other half out at different project sites across the region. The office itself is quite basic and functional. We have a few big tables for looking at blueprints and some steel racks for all the files and gear. The walls are covered in calendars and old site photos we’ve taken. Outside, the road is often blocked by big lorries or containers, so we have to plan our movements carefully every morning. It is a very dusty environment and the windows stay shut most of the time to keep the grit and noise out. We have a small team here who handles the planning and the accounts. The air conditioner is a bit old and struggles when the afternoon sun hits the side of the building. We don't have any fancy decorations or corporate branding around the place. It’s just a workspace for engineers and contractors. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with workers and suppliers at various sites. Sometimes things get stressful when deadlines are close, but that’s just how this business goes. We’ve been in Dombivli for many years and have seen the industrial area change quite a bit. It’s a tough place to work but it’s home to our business. We just focus on finishing the current projects.
