Dahikar Foods

Dahikar Foods is situated at Shop No. 1038 in Chikhloli. We are right near the D Mart in Badlapur East. Being so close to a big store like that is interesting. They have everything, but we have our own way of doing things. We focus on food items that people in this part of Badlapur really use daily. Our shop is small compared to the big guys, but we keep it organized. Usually, you’ll find one of us stocking the shelves or talking to a customer about which lentils are better for a certain dish. We don't have a corporate script. We just say what we think. If a product isn't great, we’ll tell you. We want you to come back, so lying wouldn't make much sense. The area gets really busy on weekends, so we stay on our toes. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the main road, but we make do. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to run a good shop where people feel like they’re getting a fair deal. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we take it personally if something goes wrong. We just do our best every day and hope that is enough for the neighbors.
