We are located in Kamat Compound, right near the Ajid Glass Signal on S. V. Road. If you know Jogeshwari West, you know how busy this stretch gets. Being opposite Rajasthan Dairy makes it easy for people to find the shop. We deal with sheet metal mostly. The sound of the cutters is constant. S. V. Road is always loud with traffic, so we fit right in with our own noise. The shop is a bit cramped with all the sheets leaning against the walls. We have to be careful when moving things so we don't scratch anything. It’s a practical workspace, built for utility, not for looking pretty. We’ve been in this compound for a long time. The signal is a good landmark because everyone gets stuck there at some point. We see the same faces passing by every day. When the rain comes, we have to move everything inside quickly. It's a lot of physical labor, lifting and bending the sheets. We don't have a team of secretaries, just us working the machines. Jogeshwari West has a lot of businesses like ours, but we just stick to our corner. We focus on the measurements and the cuts. Sometimes the orders are big, sometimes it’s just one small piece of metal. Either way, the work is the same. We just stay at Kamat Compound and keep the machines running until the sun goes down. It's a long day but the work is steady and we like the routine we have established here over time.
