Choudhary Metal Works

Our workshop is Shop No 4 in Kasturi Estate, over in the Godd Bhayander East area near Saki Vihar Road. We are pretty close to Abhinav Vidya Mandir, so we hear the school bells and the kids throughout the day. The shop is full of the smell of cut metal and the sound of grinders going. It’s a dusty place, and our clothes usually have grease or sparks on them by the time we go home. We have a few heavy machines for cutting and bending, and they take up most of the floor space. There isn't much room for a fancy office, so we just have a small corner with a table and a couple of stools where we look at drawings and figure out measurements. We work with all kinds of metal pieces, some big and some tiny, and there’s always a pile of scrap in the corner waiting to be cleared out. It’s hard work and the shop gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we’ve been doing this long enough that we don’t really notice it anymore. People come to us with all sorts of requests, sometimes just needing a small weld or a piece of pipe cut to size. We don't have a big staff, just a few hands who know their way around a welding torch. It’s just a basic metal shop doing what we know how to do every day since we opened up.
