Capitol Engineering Works

Our place, Capitol Engineering Works, is situated at Plot No.C-30 on Road No.16 within the Wagle Industrial Estate. If you know this area, you know it’s always buzzing with trucks and people working. We have been in this spot for a good number of years. The workshop has high ceilings and a lot of heavy equipment that takes up most of the space. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate, but it works for us. We handle a variety of engineering jobs, mostly just basic metalwork and repairs that people bring in. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that’s engineering for you. There’s always scrap metal in the corners and the sound of grinding filling the room. We don’t have fancy signs or anything. The address is enough for most people to find us. Usually, the day starts with a cup of tea while we look at the drawings for whatever needs to be made that day. Some jobs take a few hours and others keep us busy for a week. We just take it as it comes. The guys on the floor have been doing this for a long time, so they know the machines inside out. It’s a lot of repetitive stuff, but it pays the bills. Wagle Estate is a tough place to work sometimes because of the power cuts, but we manage to stay on track.
