Our office is tucked away in 32 Matushri Apartment, over in Kisan Nagar 3. If you know Thane West, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We’ve been operating Capgemini Consulting India Pvt Ltd out of this building for some time. It’s a bit of a walk from the main station area, but we’re used to it by now. The space inside isn’t huge, but it fits our desks and the few chairs we have for visitors. Usually, you’ll find three or four of us hunched over our laptops, trying to figure out some project or another. It’s not the kind of place with a big lobby or a receptionist at a front desk. We just open the door and get to it. Sometimes the neighbors in the apartment block are moving furniture or kids are playing in the hallway, so it never stays completely quiet. We usually bring our own lunch boxes and eat together while chatting about whatever movie just came out or how the local train service is doing. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or anything like that. The walls are mostly bare except for a few calendars and some old notes pinned up. It feels more like a home office than a big corporate branch, which honestly makes it a bit more comfortable to work in. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to get home before the traffic gets bad.
