Our company, Bpg Snack Foods Private Limited, is located at Plot No 705 in the Growth Center of CIDCO Mahanagar 1, over in Tisgaon. It’s an industrial area, so there are a lot of trucks and noise around us all day. We have a decent-sized space here where we process and pack different kinds of snacks. It isn't a fancy office. It’s a floor filled with frying vats, packing machines, and big bags of raw ingredients like lentils and spices. The air always smells like savory spices and oil. We spend most of our time on the production floor making sure the machines are running right and the snacks are being bagged up properly. It’s hard work and it gets quite dusty. We have a small cabin in the corner where we do the billing and talk to the distributors. It’s mostly just us and a few workers from the local area. Tisgaon is a good spot for this kind of business because the transport links are okay for the trucks to come and go. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just make snacks that people like to munch on. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend hours fixing it ourselves. It’s just how things go in a place like this. We focus on getting the orders out on time and making sure the bags are sealed. That’s our day, every single day, keeping the machines moving.
