Bhavani Sahakatri Bank Ltd

Bhavani Sahakatri Bank Ltd is tucked away in Building Number 5 of the New Rachana Park Society. We are up on the fifth floor in flat number 506. It is not like those big glass banks you see in the main city parts of Thane. Being inside a residential society in Mano Ramanagar makes the whole place feel more like a home than a bank. Most of the people who come in are neighbors or folks who live just a few blocks away. The office is usually filled with the sound of papers shuffling and the hum of an old air conditioner. We have our desks set up in the main room of the flat. It gets a bit crowded when more than three people show up at once. Sometimes the lift in the building is under maintenance, so we end up walking the stairs. It is quite a climb to the fifth floor. We spend most of our day handling the local accounts and keeping track of the passbooks. There are plenty of files stacked up in the corner cupboards. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just the name on the door so people know they found the right place. It is a quiet spot for the most part. We like the routine of the morning tea and the afternoon rush before we close up. Dealing with the society members every day keeps us busy. It is just a simple operation in a quiet Thane neighborhood.
