You can find us at House Number 109 in the Society Chawl area. We’re near Dhamankar Naka in Padma Nagar, over in Bhiwandi. It’s a busy, dusty part of the Thane district, but it’s home for us. The branch isn't in a big skyscraper. It’s right there on the ground where everything happens. We get a lot of workers from the local industries and warehouses coming in. They usually have grease on their hands or are in a hurry to get back to their shifts. We don’t mind. It’s an honest way to live. The office gets a bit hot in the summer because the air conditioning isn’t always the best, but we manage. We use old desks and the floor is a bit worn down from all the boots walking over it. We don't talk like those bank ads on TV. We just tell it like it is. If a transfer is going to take three days, we tell you it takes three days. People here appreciate that. We’ve seen Padma Nagar change over the years, but the way we do things stays mostly the same. We fill out the ledgers, help people save their hard-earned money, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s a gritty, real place to work. We like the people here in Bhiwandi because they’re hardworking and don’t expect anything for free. We are just part of the local crowd, trying to make sure everyone's accounts are handled properly and without any unnecessary fuss or fancy talk.
