Ark Steel

Down here in Village Belapur, near Thane, things feel a bit different than the main city. Our spot is close to the CBD Belapur post office, so it’s easy enough to find if you are looking for us. Ark Steel has been operating out of this area for a good bit. It’s mostly about moving steel around and making sure things get to where they are supposed to go. The yard can get a bit dusty when the trucks come in and out, especially during the dry months. We spend a lot of time checking lists and looking at stacks of metal. It’s not a glamorous job by any means. You get your hands dirty and you spend a lot of time on your feet. There are some days when it’s quiet and other days when everyone seems to need something at the exact same time. We usually just have the radio playing in the background while we work. The locals around here know us well enough. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation with fancy suits. We’re just local people working in the steel trade. Sometimes the weather makes things tough, but we just keep at it. It’s a steady life, really. We open up early, drink some tea, and get to the heavy lifting. That is pretty much how it goes for us every single day. We don't need much more than that to keep going.
