Our office is tucked away in the Trishul Building, which is part of the Shivdham Complex in Ambernath East. Being in the Thane district, we are right in the thick of the industrial belt, but the atmosphere here is a bit different from the main Mumbai hustle. We have been here for a good amount of time, occupying room 207. It is one of those places where the lift might be cranky, so we often end up taking the stairs. Inside, it is mostly just us, our desks, and a whole lot of files that seem to grow every month. We handle engineering work for various local projects, and it keeps us on our toes from Monday to Saturday. Usually, the mornings are spent sorting through the previous day’s site reports. We don't have a big reception area or anyone in a suit greeting people at the door. You just walk in and find us working. It is a practical space for practical work. The area around Ambernath East has changed a lot since we first started, but the core of what we do stays the same. We deal with the usual stresses of deadlines and technical glitches that come with any engineering job. Lunch is usually a quick affair from a nearby dabba or whatever we brought from home. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just making sure our clients get the technical support they need for their projects.
