Aladi Aruna College Of Nursing is located right on the Tirunelveli Tenkasi National Highway. If you are driving down Alangulam Road in Nallur, you really can't miss us. It is a busy spot with trucks and buses zooming past all day, which makes for a bit of noise, but inside the gates, it is a lot calmer. We have been here for a while, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well enough for teaching. Most of us here have lived in Tirunelveli for a long time. We know how the local area works. The students come in early, usually looking a bit tired from their bus rides. Nursing isn't an easy thing to learn, and we don't try to pretend it is. There is a lot of practical work and book learning involved. We have some basic labs where they can practice their skills. The weather around here gets really hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep things moving. There isn't anything fancy about the place, just some classrooms and desks and the smell of antiseptic every now and then. We are just a bunch of regular people trying to help the next generation of nurses get through their training. It is hard work for everyone, but we just keep at it day after day.
