Bharathi Granites

I've been running Bharathi Granites for a while now over on Krishnapuram 2nd Road. If you've lived in Anantapur Dist. for some time, you probably know where the plot 3/563-3 is. It’s just a yard with a lot of stone piled up, honestly. We spend most of our days moving heavy slabs around and trying to keep the dust down, which isn't always easy in this heat. People usually just drop by when they are building a house or fixing up a kitchen. We don't have a fancy office or anything, just the shed and the stones. Sometimes it's quiet, other times it’s a bit of a mess with trucks coming in and out. My cousin helps me out with the lifting because those granite blocks are no joke. We try to keep a decent variety so people don't have to travel too far to find what they need for their floors. It’s hard work, and our hands are always rough, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood knows us. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable spot where you can see the material for yourself before buying. Sometimes the colors of the stone change depending on what we get from the quarry, so it's always different. If you pass by, you’ll see us there, usually drinking tea or checking the inventory under the shade. It's just a regular local business where we work hard and hope for the best.
