Sayla Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out here in Thoriyali, life moves at a different pace. We are based at House No. 3, which belongs to Banesangbhai Rupabhai Rathod. It’s a small village in the Sayla taluka. We started Sayla Farmer Producer Company Limited because we wanted to handle our farming business better. We aren't a big company with a skyscraper. It’s just a house where we meet up and talk. There’s usually some tractor parked outside or someone coming by on a bike to discuss the crops. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it’s cotton or something else the land gives us. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially after it rains, but we manage. Most of us have been farming these fields since we were kids. We don't use big words or have complicated systems. We just write things down in our ledgers and make sure the farmers get what they need. Sometimes we sit out on the porch when the weather is nice. It’s a communal effort, really. Everyone helps everyone else. We know the soil here, we know the water situation, and we know each other. It’s not a polished operation, just a bunch of neighbors working together to make the farming side of things a bit easier for everyone involved. Sometimes we disagree on things, but we always work it out over a cup of tea. It is a slow process, but we like it this way.
