Yusuf Hardware

Yusuf Hardware is located right opposite the G.P.O. on Kikabhai Street, over on Tower Road. Being near the post office makes us pretty easy to find. We’ve been here for a good while, and the shop is full of all the usual hardware things you’d expect—nails, screws, hinges, and tools. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep as much as possible on hand. The street outside is always humming with people going to the post office or heading toward the tower. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us at the counter, helping people figure out what size bolt they need or which hammer feels right in their hand. We get a lot of locals who have been coming to us for years, and we know many of them by name. The shop has that specific hardware store smell, a mix of metal and dust. We don’t have air conditioning, so we keep the doors wide open to catch whatever breeze comes down Kikabhai Street. It’s a practical business. We show up early, sweep the front, and stay until the evening. We don’t make things complicated. If we have what you need, we sell it to you, and that’s that. It’s an honest day's work in a familiar part of town where everyone seems to be in a bit of a hurry.
