Yash Computer

Yash Computer is over at Shop No 5 in the Narayan Darshan Complex. We are right on the Main Road near Nizampura. Being on the main road means we get a lot of dust, so I’m always wiping down the computer cases and the glass counter. The complex itself is quite busy with different shops. Our shop is narrow but deep. We have workstations set up along the walls. There are usually a few keyboards and mice scattered around that need cleaning or repair. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the cables on the floor. Nizampura is a lively area, and there’s a good mix of students and office workers who stop by. I have a small stool behind the counter where I sit and work on the machines. The light from the front door is quite bright in the afternoons. We have a small fridge for water and that’s about it for luxuries. The signage outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people still find us. I start the day by opening the rolling shutter, which is quite heavy. Then I turn on all the power strips and wait for the hum of the computers to start. It’s a steady life. I know most of the people who work in the other shops in Narayan Darshan. We often share a tea in the afternoon while the traffic crawls by outside. It's just a basic computer shop, doing what needs to be done every day.
