We are located on the upper ground floor of the Kohinoor Textile Market, right at shop number 609. If you know the Ring Road area, you know how crazy it gets with all the traffic and the people carrying massive bales of cloth on their shoulders. Our shop is one of hundreds in the market, but we’ve made our own little space here. It’s filled with rolls of fabric and different designs hanging from the walls. We spend most of our day talking to customers or checking the quality of the latest batch of clothes that came in. It’s a crowded space, and we often have to squeeze past stacks of inventory just to get to the back. There isn't much room for sitting around. The lights are bright, and there’s always the sound of people haggling in the hallways outside. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the long afternoon hours. The market is like a city of its own, and once you’re inside, you forget what time it is. We handle a lot of different patterns and colors, and sometimes the place looks like a rainbow exploded. It’s hard work being in the textile trade, but it’s what we know. We close up when the market starts to quiet down in the evening, then navigate the chaos of Ring Road to get back home. It's just part of life working here every single day among all the fabrics and designs we sort out.
