You can find Vranda Fashion inside the Rohit AC Market on Ring Road. We are at unit number 2001. Ring Road is famous for being the absolute heart of the cloth trade in Surat, and it is always a bit of a mess outside with the traffic and the people. Getting into the AC market is always a relief because the air is much cooler than the street. Our shop is a bit of a walk once you get inside the building and find the right section. It is not a huge place, but we make the most of every inch of space we have. We have rolls of fabric and finished pieces hanging everywhere. The carpet on the floor is a bit worn out from all the people walking in and out over the years. We spend a lot of time talking to other traders who are looking for specific patterns or fabrics. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking if we have a certain color in stock right now. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy to get attention. Most people find us because they have been coming here for a long time or someone they know told them about our spot. We eat our lunch while sitting on the floor cushions because it is easier than trying to fit a table in here. By the end of the day, the floor is covered in small scraps of thread and bits of plastic. We sweep it all up, lock the glass door, and head out into the chaos.
