Vjv Fashions is up in the Royal Arcade, which is a big building near the Gitanjali Petrol Pump. It is a bit of a landmark in this area because everyone knows the Jivandhara restaurants nearby. People often stop in after they have had their lunch or while they are waiting for their car to get filled up with gas at the pump. We are located at unit 406. It is a bit quieter up here on the fourth floor than it is down on the ground level, but you still hear the noise of the city coming through the windows. We spend our mornings checking the new arrivals and making sure the hangers are not all tangled up on the racks. The lighting in the arcade is quite bright, so the clothes look clear to anyone browsing. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything like that; we just open the doors and wait for folks to walk in. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or people who work in the other offices in the building. We keep a simple diary of what has been sold so we do not run out of the popular sizes. Sometimes the elevator is slow or broken, so we end up taking the stairs many times a day. It keeps us moving. The shop has a large window that looks out over the street below. You can see the cars lining up at the petrol pump from there. It is a good, practical spot to be for our small business.
