Vishvas Oil Maker

Living and working around Sarthana Jakatnaka means you get used to the crowd heading toward the Zoo Park. Our place, Vishvas Oil Maker, is right there in the Deepkamal-1 building, unit 206. It’s not a huge factory, just a practical space where we deal with oil pressing machines. Most days, the air smells a bit like groundnuts or mustard seeds, depending on what a customer brought in to test. We spend most of our time showing people how to clean the machines because that is the part everyone forgets. Varachha Road is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. The floor usually has a few drops of oil no matter how much we sweep. People come in from the nearby villages and even from the city side to see how these small machines work for their homes or little businesses. We keep a few models on the floor so they can touch the metal and see the gears. It’s mostly just us talking shop and tightening bolts. Sometimes we have to explain the same thing five times, but that is fine. The lights in the shop flicker a bit when we start the big motors. It’s a working space, not a showroom, so expect some noise and maybe a bit of a mess if we are mid-assembly on a new order. The tea guy knows exactly when to bring our glasses every afternoon.
