Lalbhai & Sons

If you are looking for Lalbhai & Sons, we are right across from Sant Mark School on Sv Road in Adajan. You can usually hear the kids during recess if the shop door is open. We’ve been at this spot, B-40, for a long time. It’s a family thing, passed down a bit, and we just try to keep things moving. The shelves are always a bit crowded because we have a lot of stuff tucked away in corners. It might look a little disorganized to someone walking in for the first time, but we generally know where everything is. Sometimes customers come in just to chat about the weather or what’s happening in the neighborhood. We don’t mind that. It makes the day go by faster when it’s quiet. Adajan has changed a lot since we first opened up here. There are more cars now and it’s harder to find a place to park right in front of the shop. We just stay busy with whatever comes our way. Some days are slow and we spend a lot of time cleaning glass or counting stock. Other days it’s a bit of a rush and we barely have time to eat lunch. It is just a regular local shop. We don’t have any big corporate plans. We just want to be here tomorrow doing the same thing we did today. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
