K G N Auto Garage is situated right on Ring Road in Adinath Nagar, along the Nasik Road. If you look for the place with the most tires stacked outside, that is likely us. We deal with a lot of different vehicles here. Some days it is motorcycles that need a chain tightened, and other days it is a bigger car with engine trouble. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil, no matter how much we sweep it. We wear work clothes that stopped being clean years ago. Working on Ring Road means we get a lot of people who are just passing through and need something fixed quickly so they can get back on their way. We have a set of heavy tools and an air compressor that makes a lot of noise when it kicks in. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, but we like the work. There is a small bench where customers can sit while they wait, though most people just stand around and watch us work. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning or anything like that. It is just a straightforward garage. We’ve seen all types of breakdowns and flat tires. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we move the work further back into the shade. It’s just a honest day of work for us here near Adinath Nagar.
