Our place is P-820 in the Katargam GIDC area. If you know Katargam, you know it’s mostly industrial and very busy during the day. We are right in the middle of all that activity. We handle fashion garments and it’s a lot of work keeping everything straight. The GIDC units all look pretty similar from the outside, but inside we’ve tried to make it functional for what we do. There are sewing machines in one area and a big space for packing in the other. It gets quite loud when all the machines are running at once. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We aren't a big corporation, just a local business trying to get the orders done on time. The road outside is usually blocked with trucks or tempos, so getting our deliveries out can be a challenge. We start early when the air is still a bit cool and work until the sun goes down. There isn't much time for anything else. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. People come to the gate, we show them what we have, and that’s how the business goes. It’s simple and honest work. We don't use big words or make big promises, we just show up and do the work every morning until it's finished.
