Apparel Stitches

We are Apparel Stitches and we are based on Varachha Road in Surat. Our place is in A/2 Urmi Society 2. If you know this part of Surat, you know it is all about textiles and diamonds. We chose the textile side. We have been in this society for quite a few years now. The workshop is basically just rows of stitching machines and big tables for cutting the cloth. It gets quite noisy with all the machines going at once, but we are used to it. We do not have any fancy slogans or a big sales team. Most of our work comes from local shops and people who have known us for a long time. We just focus on getting the stitching right. If a hem is crooked, we pull it out and do it again. It is not complicated, just time-consuming. We spend most of our day dealing with piles of fabric and thread. Sometimes the delivery vans block the whole road and we have to help them move so our neighbors don't get upset. It is a busy life but we like it. We are not trying to change how the world dresses. We just want to make sure the clothes we stitch don't fall apart. We stay pretty busy throughout the year, especially during the wedding and festival seasons when everyone wants things done yesterday.
