Umavanshi Mobile Sales & Service

Our shop is tucked away in Parvat Gulabnagar Housing Society 4. It's not a big place, just enough room for a few glass counters and some chairs for people waiting. I spend most of my day sitting behind the desk with a magnifying glass and some small screwdrivers. Most folks from the society come in when their screen cracks or the charging port stops working because of all the dust. I keep a stack of old phone boxes in the corner and a calendar on the wall that's a few months out of date. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking noise, but you get used to it after a while. I see the same faces every day walking their dogs or going to the grocery store nearby. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone gets home from work and realizes their phone isn't holding a charge. I usually have some tea around four o'clock while I finish up a repair. The floor is tiled but has a few scuffs where people drag the chairs. There isn't any fancy music playing, just the sound of the street outside and the occasional beep from a phone restarting. I try to keep the tools organized, but by midday, everything is scattered across the mat. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy trying to see what’s wrong with a motherboard or cleaning out a speaker grille that’s clogged up.
