Surju Fashion is located at shop number 3388 inside the New Textile Market on Ring Road. If you know Surat, you know how crazy Ring Road can get. It’s the heart of the textile world here. Our shop is just one of many in this massive building. We’ve been operating from this unit for a good while. It’s a small space, but we pack it full of different fabrics and finished clothes. Most of our day is spent dealing with transporters and other traders. We don't have a big fancy sign or a lounge for people to sit in. It’s a working shop. We keep the inventory moving. Some days the hallways in the market are so packed with bundles you can barely walk. We just deal with it. It’s part of being in the New Textile Market. We know the rhythms of the place, when it’s busy and when it’s time to close up. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just sell fashion items that people want. Our family has been in the cloth business for a long time, so we know what we are looking at. The shop is our second home. We arrive early, check the new arrivals, and wait for the regulars to stop by. It’s a simple, practical way to make a living in a very busy city. We just stay focused on the work at hand and get things done.
