Sumukha Fashion Private Limited is situated at Shop Number 208 in the Raghuvir Celeum building. This is right on the main road that goes from Surat to Kadodara, specifically in the Kumbhariya area of Chorasi. The pincode here is 395010. Being on a main road means there is never any silence. You hear the horns and the trucks going by at all hours. Raghuvir Celeum is a large building with a lot of different businesses inside. Our shop, 208, is one of the many units where work happens every day. We usually get in early to beat the worst of the Kadodara road traffic. The space inside is mostly filled with samples and desks. It’s a functional place, not meant for showing off. We deal with a lot of people coming and going from the Kumbhariya area. The stairs in the building are often crowded with people carrying bags. Sometimes we walk over to the nearby stalls for a quick cup of tea when the afternoon slump hits. The office gets a bit of sun in the morning, but by the afternoon it’s mostly artificial light. It’s just the way it is in these big commercial complexes. We’ve grown used to the hum of the air conditioning and the constant movement outside the door. Sumukha Fashion is just us working hard in a small corner of a very busy part of Surat.
